The other day we popped along to visit The Silversmith’s Art exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland… it was stunning!
“This ground-breaking exhibition celebrates the exceptional creativity and skill which make Britain a world leader in modern silver. The Silversmith’s Art features 150 masterpieces made by 66 acclaimed silversmiths between 2000 and 2015.”
I would thoroughly recommend a visit if you’re in the area, jeweller/silversmith or not it is a worthwhile nosey.
The design and craftsmanship is exceptional… and just seeing so much silver in one place is highly gratifying.
This next one was by far my favourite. The work that must have gone into this piece is immense. I am truly captivated, and in awe.
I always leave glorious exhibitions feeling ecstatically inspired… and woefully dejected. Will my work ever be that amazing?
One can only wish… and work really hard!
