Today was the official first day back at uni, and not just that but my official first day of fourth year. Oh dear… EVERYTHING MATTERS THIS YEAR!!!
This morning we had a little introductory lecture to what to expect. And first off we are expected to write project proposals; which means i have to figure out a way of getting a the little thoughts floating around in my head into words that people will actually understand!
We were shown this video as a guide to thinking about what our proposals should be:
Simon Sinek for TED.
“People don’t buy what you do they buy why you do it.”
Although we aren’t all thinking commercially for our degree show projects, it’s still a great point to think about when creating proposals and enabling people to buy into what you’re doing,
Why should people be interested in what i’m doing?
Why am i interested in what i’m doing?
Well, i’ll have to think about that…. and come up with more than just because i like it!
Why do you do what you do?
